Shana Siegel, Esq., CELA*
Ms. Siegel is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the New Jersey State Bar Association, NJSBA Elder Law Section, and Women Lawyers in Bergen. Ms. Siegel has been accredited by the Veteran's Administration to represent veterans. She is also a certified health care compliance specialist. She earned her JD with honors from Georgetown University and her BA with honors from Barnard College. Ms. Siegel writes widely on elder law, special needs and health law topics and was a contributing author of the NYSBA, Guardianship Practice in New York State. She also has appeared on Montclair TV34, a local television channel, addressing elder law issues. *What is a CELA?Elder law attorneys may pursue certification by the Board of Certification of the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). The purpose of the certification program is to identify those lawyers who have the expansive knowledge, skills, experience and proficiency to be properly identified to the public as certified elder law attorneys. The Certification process requires the attorney to pass a 6 hour examination and to demonstrate, through documented cases handled, that she has extensive experience in all areas of elder law. |
